I'm Doin Fine
thaddeus, Orion Song, & theo
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right from here
I'll make it up from here
You went and caught me at the worst possible time,
I would do it if I could, but in the end I'm Lyin
Coulda caught me when I'm feelin kinda brave, a lion
Couldn't make the brain cells up in my brain align
She told me do you mind, can we wrap it up
I gotta drive to heels, prep my meals, and um,
Tuition don't pay for itself, love
Ooh I'm dancin' for my health, for my self love
Careful with choosing
Careful with loosing
All of yourself
Your mental health
Careful you're losing (Careful babe)
Careful with new things (Lose you babe)
You need to be kind (Your mind)
To your mind
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right from here
I'll make it up from here
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right from here
I'll make it up from here
Good morning, wakin' up with a schedule
I thought I'd live life make whatever I want
Couldn't change, no complaints, I'm a natural
Makin hay in the day, work casual
Time's passin' so fast, come in last, I'm late
It drive me nuts, for lack lust, there's only one pace
Workin' harder, not smarter, not the other way
Try to get it all done, 4 I relax and play
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right from here
I'll make it up from here
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right from here
I'll make it up from here
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it right (I'll make it right)
I'll make it right (I'll make it right)
I'm doing fine
I just need time
I'll make it up from here (I'll make it right)
(I just need time)
I'll make it right from here (I'll make it right)
I'll make it up from here
Postbellum Pt. II
thaddeus & theo
Now, I'm alone, don't text my phone I'm tired of waiting.
I'm back to more, I need convincing that we're faited.
Hopefully, we're making amends tonight
I couldn't ask for better if I tried
What can I say, I'm missin' you
Sorely and only my love...
Openly, we're one of the best, I find
Nothin' could ever compare to the
Time I was with you
I'm missin' you, sorely in love
I'm not playing games
I'm not over you
Deep inside, starry-eyed, you believe it too
Won't you take a chance on me?
Baby, I don't plan to leave...
Hopefully, I'm not a mess tonight
Waiting around, we don't think, no we know we might
Fly to the city,
Come with me
We'll keep this shit tight
I got a ride
No need to walk
Ride & rewind
It only gets lonely when we can't silently talk
Back then I found

I made it on my own n' after
All was said and done I, was so high up, but
Nobody ever looked or wondered why, I bothered to walk alone, said walk on by
My baby told me, "Slow your roll"
All she wanted was control, and it wasn't her fault, You know I'm
Married to the job, of course
But baby I still make time for you, I'm tellin' the truth
Like always
It's you, my love, I'm hopin'
A love was never spoken
It's you, my love, I'm holdin'
With you…
So come along and never leave my side, you're right
I need you, so true
She said, without me boy you'd probably be fine, don't lie
I need you, just like I do in time
Everyday she tell me,
Don't be long
You know I'm comin right back to you
I'm out makin my money moves, & I know, you know I'm
Married to the job, of course
Of course girl I'll still make time for you, I'm tellin the truth
Like always
It's you, my love, I'm hopin'
A love was never spoke
It's you, my love, I'm holdin'
With you…
It's you, my love, I'm hopin'
A love was never spoke
It's you, my love, I'm holdin'
With you…
About Edessa
A tower in the water.
Edessa Records is an independent record label founded by LA-based music producer Thaddeus Demeke. The label exists to help independent artists reliably create, distribute, and promote their best work — building toward making a great living through music.
Edessa is genre-flexible. Rooted in alt R&B and soul, the label signs and releases whatever's dope — quality and creative ambition over genre boxes.
Edessa was an ancient city in Mesopotamia. Its name means "tower in the water." In an industry full of noise — 100,000 songs uploaded daily to Spotify — a producer and label can serve as both a foundation and a guide, helping artists shape raw creativity into something that connects. Edessa is the structure that lets talent thrive.
Edessa is building toward something physical — a creative compound where artists, producers, songwriters, and visual directors have the resources & community to freely create for their audience.
Thaddeus Demeke is an LA-based music producer, arranger, and keys player. Born to Ethiopian immigrants in San Diego, he started piano at age 10, played brass in marching and jazz band, and toured with the Blue Devils Drum & Bugle Corps. At UCLA, he founded an a cappella group and became a nationally recognized vocal arranger and music director.
He moved to LA in 2022 to work with local talent and grow as an independent, r&b music producer. He has an eclectic taste and a diverse set of musical influences: FKJ, Jacob Collier, Sampha, Daniel Caesar, Frank Ocean, and Eric Whitacre.
